ReplyWhere is Queen Amanirenas? She was the greatest Nubian Queen who ruled during the 1st century B.C.E. and lead 30,000 Nubian soldiers against’s the Roman garrisons in Aswan and Philae, And literally defeated the Romans in a war that lasted for five years, with a treaty that was favourable to Meroe, King Piankhi & Taharqa needs some recognition as well.
Replywe wuz kangz
ReplyAlso, you forgot to mention the Nubian Pharaoh Taharqa who saved Jerusalem from destruction by the Neo-Assyrian Empire, he was a general before he became the king, with Taharqa’s help, there would be no abrahamic religions today, he was also a pyramid builder, Sudan has the most pyramids in the Nile Valley.
ReplyAlso, King Piankhi who was founder of the 25th Dynasty who defeated the Libyan monarchs in the North at the Delta, and he was welcomed by the local people at Thebes and attended at the Opet festival.
ReplyDaniel Kaluuya should play as King Taharqa and Idris elba should play as King Piankhi.
ReplyAnd they were still nothing but monkeys. only white monarchs are royal WHYTE POWER WLMM
ReplyQueen Amani
ReplyTrhaga
2:19 I guessed Negus but that works too
ReplyMy favorite thing about short history videos is all the comments saying “oh I wish they had mentioned this person/thing.” Means I get more people to learn about, even if the show had to cut them for time.
ReplyI know Jesus was black, cause the court find him guilty with no proof. AMEN!!!
ReplyThat mustache is doing as much work as a small army. Love Roy!
ReplyTell me why I cannot click on one these segments without saying “We’re for the culture.” out loud.
ReplyWhat about the Black Pharaoh of Egypt?
ReplyPlease do more, there are many more royals!
ReplyWhat about KING MUSA MANSA The First ! The King of Mali Empire with a net worth of 400,000,000,000 $
ReplyThis is comedy gold!
ReplyThat was very bad research. The Solomonoid dynasty reigned almost uninterrupted for 3000 years, the longest in world history. The most powerful pharoahs were the 18th Dynasty in Egypt, which were very dark Africans from Nubia. Mentioning Shaka Zulu is such a deep insult.
ReplyThe point of the video was to highlight the fact that Africans were not some jungle dwelling tribals that white men took as slaves.
ReplyBut here in the comments people are busy suggesting their favorite royals. Like this was an hour long history documentary.
Get Queen araweelo of Somalia on the part 2 pls
ReplyCrown Jewels are not as shiny as The Stache.
ReplyShaka Zulu created an empire by massacring other Africans …. Nothing to be proud about
ReplyJesus is black.

ReplyThe theoretical origin of the Selassie line was King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. The Ethiopians claim that she left Jerusalem carrying Solomon’s (first) child. This was the beginning of the Ethiopian dynasty.

ReplyMan I love Roy so much, and all the other correspondents too! They’re all so talented and hilarious. More black history with Roy please!
ReplyEl Mehdi Ibnou Toumert from the almohades dynasty is also a black person
Replyisn’t it great when people with the SAME shape face and skin colour as you are the ones who look down on you because your not related to them and they have more money than you and flaunt their wealth while mocking how beneath them you are but also claim they speak on your behalf and send you to war to fight for their behalf against people they don’t get along with that did nothing to you
ReplyOh man he always makes my day! he should get his own show!

_ Emperor Prempeh of the Ashanti Empire of Ghana
_ Emperor Behanzin of the Dahomey Empire of Benin
_ Emperors Sundiata Keita and Mansa Munsa of the powerful Mali Empire
_ Quen Ranavalona of Madagascar
_ …
“Shaka” means “intestinal beetle”, because his mom needed a cover story when she was pregnant, allegedly true story. He beat an army of British riflemen with melee units, by locally inventing reserve troops and encirclement.
Too bad about murderous half-siblings, but the man was a king.
ReplyI literally thought this was Colitically Porrect for a while.
ReplyForgot to mention Yaa Asantewaa
ReplyLooks like they white washed his image like they did Antonio Maceo

ReplySo surprised that Mansa Musa was never mentioned! He was the richest man in all of history and had a wealth that was greater than Bezos and Gates put together (more $400 billion US dollars). He was so rich that when he gave away his gold for charity he actually caused a gold inflation
Replyhey Roy…Rasta is not a religion, but a way of life…..
ReplyMy foster dad learned to read at 60 yrs of age. One of his favorite books was a Haile Salesse book.
ReplyDon’t write me no hate letter, but that was the funniest (no pun intended) thing I ever heard. “The court found him guilty with no evidence”.
