“Small businesses are the backbone of our society”. Then why is big business so huge. The politicians are just repeating the script. Most politicians in America are controlled. They have handlers. They are told what to say. Want to know which politicians are not being controlled. Check the obituary pages.

So this means we have to think hard about how we shop. Come on millennials. We killed Chili’s and other boring companies. We can do this.

That Luxottica thing is covered by Adam Conover in his show last year. That story is sad. Really sad (say it with a Trump voice).

What has the US been doing the past 20 years?

The entire health industry is monopolized by just a handful of pharmacies, insurances, and even the drug manufacturers are owned by a few magacorporations. That’s just one example.

The feds barely did anything to Walgreens buying every major chain in reach including Rite Aid.

I am now thus forced two work for Walgreens a *THIRD* time after quiting it twice already, because my company got bought out.

consumers thinks it’s okay because they don’t know better. I work in a medical office and I see people getting ripped off all the time. Thinking they should pay more for standard care, it should always be quality. Don’t get me wrong if it costs money to make, as in the labor is difficult, meticulous, requires expensive materials of course it should be more.
Why won’t private offices accept Medicaid , because Medicaid won’t pay those absurd prices, the Gov. Won’t allow someone to rip them off. If we based medical fees on what Medicaid pays we would be able to pay out of pocket. The gov. Knows people are paying absurd prices on medical care and does nothing.
I myself went to the ER and was charged 8,000 for it. Eight thousand dollars…

Did you ever notice how every single problem you ever tackle on this show has the phrase “starting in the 70s” but somehow everything is our generation’s fault..?

Gotta love how the show tackles real serious issues while also finding a way to be extremely juvenile in the process. That’s not an insult btw, I legit love that about this show.

Isn’t Equifax one of those oligopoly? At least half of Americans got their financial data’s stolen and Equifax still calm over there, or more likely they just don’t care because apparently financial data is one of the stripped rights of the little people nowadays …

And until someone starts inflicting severe bodily harm on the members of this new aristocracy, the world is going to go to shit.

Its called responsibility, and it can only be enforced by violence, best case by the state, worst case by anyone with a conscience. Those with all the money and power need to be forced to share, they are not doing it on their own.
