ReplyIs Conan on drugs or something ? If I was having a chat with Conan over a pint and he was talking in this half-asleep, and slightly preachy way, I would say “dude, wake up : hold my attention; speak at normal speed; and stop boring me !”
ReplyNorm is the saddest character in television history.
Reply“How’s life treating you Mr. Peterson?”
“Like I’m sleeping with it’s wife and it knows.”
Reply“Hey Norm, how’s life treating you?”

Conan, these are all so great with James Brooks (as if Conan will read this) your reverence for writing and lineage comes across here, with such an addictive passion. It’s beautiful to see how grounded in history your creativity is, underneath the shenanigans, the love for artistry shines through. You, Conan, are a friggin treasure…thank you for such insight into the process, with ‘regular’ interviews and with Sona and Matt…and just for your nuttiness over all these years!!!

ReplyI would have thought making jokes involving the vietnam war so close to its end would have offended some people.. but i was a small child at the time and did not understood the complexity of emotions surrounding the war and its toll.
ReplyI was jealous of Norm, because he had so many people who knew him at the bar. They may not be traditional friends, but he had a lot of people who cared about him.
