ReplyRight so if I were the Govenor of GA, and some said specifically hat should I do? If u have all the answers what should I do? the first thing I would would be start removing zoning laws concerning commercial and residential inside the perimeter 285, making it a dense 24 hour hive where people want to live, where people want to visit and where people want to be seen. I would increase every type of housing, all types of housing. All types of Commercial/residential structures, row housing, triplexes quadplexes, apartments, micro-apartments, micro hotels, condos, I would have invest in the underground, reinvest in the underground, reinvest in buford hwy, basically i would have a 10-15 year plan to have the inside of the perimeter to be mostly if not totally walkable. From there I would build a future proof high speed rail line, linking to savannah, athens and GA southern, or valdosta. This could be linked up with a potential national network, I would use chinese partners giving them dicounted or even free land and tax breaks to build high speed lines, that could even been linked to lines down to tallahasse and then to miami, and then from there audurn and then up to south carolina. I would increase the speed limit on I-16 and deepen the port near Brunswick, making transportation to Atlanta and subsequant cities smoother and faster. I would implement a gas tax, in the state, and it would be a percentage, while increasing the state speed limit. I would implement a congestion tax inside the perimeter. I would increase taxes on weed, cocaine, alcohol, guns, heronie, and eectasy. That would be a hedonism tax. increase spending on education, and raise state standards of education, regardless of taxes, if education standards are high, and there are grades to prove it, (as with the HOPE Scholarship) then people will still come to the state. I would need more revunue, but that would only come from, and hopefully come from residents moving to the state. policy on mountains is to leave them as untouched as possible, people don’t go to the mountains to enjoy cellphone services and respond to emails.
