ReplyStephen, you should hire a better specialist in Ukraine and Russia (real) history. Not the fake one Katherine II, Stalin, Putin have created/stolen for western masses. Borsch is Ukrainian national dish and in USSR in every restaurant or canteen it was “Ukrainian Borsch” in menus.

ReplyBorshch is a traditional Ukrainian dish from beetroot! There was always mud on the Russian territory and NO beets or vegetables that are used in borshch could ever grow there – it was illogical to steal this gastronomic Ukrainian heritage. But still russians did (as they did with many other cultural heritage examples) and tried to convince the world that it belonged to them. Can`t you see – they lie about everything: from stolen traditions to vast independent countries!
