In a sense, he did spend a life in prison – he was 17 and he spent almost as long in prison…
This man is admirable. To come from such an environment and to go through so much, and to become such a beacon of light and hope! No child should have to experience what he has!

the fact that we live in a country where you can sentence a 17yo to life is just a disgrace. Yes, (i heard him say murder) but you can pay your debt to society as he did and grow past it. life sentences for kids should be illegal. Period. (And we know its minority kids)

Nobody denies that ex felons can’t redeem themselves and become a working part of society again. I’m asking if they deserve this chance when they kill your mom, your aunt or your daughter… It’s not okay put people in prison for the rest of their lives, but someone like this guy shouldn’t complain

Taking a life at 17 he knew right from wrong. First degree murder is at least thirty five years.

Yeah he’s right every will give some of these ex-cons a fair shake then they won’t be repeated offenders granted there’s some that never deserve a second chance those like pedophiles those type of people do not deserve a second chance but robbers and thieves bail is this trying to make money and it wasn’t smart enough to make it the right way so I decided to do it the wrong way even drug dealers deserve a second chance as long as they not the type that’s forcing drugs on people ?
