“I’m playing for a different team, and I’m with the people.” Amazon Labor Union President Chris Smalls discusses how the lack of humanity in Amazon’s hiring and firing practices led him to organize a warehouse workers’ union, despite all the odds against him. #DailyShow
Kudos to you Mr. Smalls! Awesome story.
ReplyNice to see an interview where the interviewer isn’t trying to get their own agenda done (like when Tucker interviewed him & tried to get him to complain about AOC, which Chris handled masterfully).
ReplyMr. Chris Smalls, this old white grandma is so happy to see your work, your commitment, and now your success !!!!! Unions are the ultimate expression of democracy… from the grassroots upward. Bless you !
ReplyIt IS true AND dystopian. Amazon tracks your downtime. You get 30 minutes of “time off task,” as they call it, a day. I had a doctor’s note for my overactive bladder, and I still got written up multiple times for leaving my station and going to the bathroom “too much.”
ReplyLove this man. Shows anyone can make an impact. LABOR UNIONS UNITE AND LETS TAKE DOWN THESE EXPLOITATIVE MONOPOLIES
ReplyNow that is a real hero.
ReplySuccess is dependent on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Show me a man who doesn’t have an investment, and i will tell you how soon he will go broke. Investment is building a safe heaven for the future. With the right choice of Investment that has at least 1% minimum risk and with an expert guidance, profit and Intrest is 100% guaranteed.I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life
ReplyChris Smalls is impressive. Wonderful young man. Thank you Trevor for interviewing him. As usual excellent job.
ReplyMan go crazy brother, so happy for this!!
ReplyHey way too go young man!
ReplyLEGEND!!!
ReplyI have mad respect for him! I was totally oblivious to this. I wish he left everyone with a website to go or an actual way customers can take action to stand in solidarity with the union. Whether that means not buying from amazon or something else.
ReplyWait did he say they work 12hrs and get only a half hr break?? Are they trying to give chinese sweatshops a run for their money?
ReplyImpressive!
ReplyHe is such a great example to everyone.
