ReplyThere is a big difference between having a different point of view and completely dismissing facts and reality all together. You cannot have civil discourse with people who live their lives in a fantasy world that does not exist.

I don’t agree with their politics, but I can at least respect the difference of opinion with someone that I know has some integrity
ReplyThat is to say that states like Wyoming are so deep red that Democrats don’t stand a chance. I’d rather have a true conservative who is willing to put the country before her politics than some radical election denying conspiracy theorist in Congress
Uhhhhhhhhh…..You’ll see Kitzinger and Cheney again, but without this one saving grace, I don’t think you’ll like what you see.

ReplyBiden & others still don’t get it – the GOP is largely a DTO & BRAINWASHED CULT, disconnected from reality, facts & truth. They need to be treated that way. You can’t reason with them until they can acknowledge reality, logic, facts – and not the warped kind they subject themselves to.

Democrats speak of urgency & emergency action needed concerning both the attack on American democracy & the Climate Change Crisis – but their actions are sadly lacking the crucial boldness necessary.

ReplyHe admitted to taking government documents that weren’t his. That’s a crime. He resisted efforts to extraordinary lengths to requests for them to be returned & concealed them in different areas. That’s a crime.
ReplyAny claim of “privilege” is moot & cannot be claimed because it was in concert with committing crimes. THE CRIME FRAUD EXCEPTION.
Cannon’s original word-salad ruling is just more proof that GOP members holding public office don’t understand (or won’t accept) what it means to fairly “participate” in American democracy. Their sense of entitlement & being above the law is clear – and unacceptable. Trump-appointed judges & justices need to be subjected to a qualification review and suspend all judgments until cleared.
ReplyBut a recent poll shows 61% of Republicans would still vote for 45, EVEN IF HE IS CONVICTED OF A CRIME. Apparently, it doesn’t matter what the crime may be. That’s more clear proof that the majority of the “Party” is a brainwashed cult & Domestic Terrorist Organization bent on fascism, worthy of dismissal from “participation”.
The 14th Amendment (Sec 3) and several Federal Codes identify those that give “aid & comfort” to insurrectionists as “unqualified to hold public office” which currently includes the overwhelming majority of GOP politicians.
The Majority Party (at least for the moment) has the tools & needs to use them.

ReplyWHAT IF it doesn’t matter how many votes Dems manage to gather in the midterms? WHAT IF the GOP 3-prong plan to “win” no matter what succeeds? Does the Majority Party (Democrats) have a plan to counter-act the takeover of democracy in favor of fascism?
ReplyThe GOP plan:
1) Put laws & people in place at State level to ensure GOP “wins” – this includes voter restrictions & denials
2) The Fall Session of the SCOTUS will further yield rulings to benefit the GOP
3) Brainwashed hoards have signed up to be poll WORKERS (in addition to their “observers”) who will take every opportunity to throw the process into chaos, forcing the vote certification to go to GOP-controlled State legislatures
I don’t need to know (yet) what the plan is that Democrats have, I just need to know they have one to defeat the overt attack on American democracy that’s ahead if the GOP is permitted to “participate” in the midterms unfettered.
