Hate to see any group or race the victim of violence and hatred, its sad. But Asian people sided with whytes to normalize and hide. Now that they are being attacked they are flabbergasted that their friends, the whytes are broadcasting and encouraging hatred against them. They should have read their history books, like black people Asian wear their race on their faces. Its not new, just new and improved racism.
ReplyI don’t recall seeing any Asians at the BLM marches last summer. I think I will sit out this protest period too. After all its hard to feel sorry for a group of people who don’t feel sorry for you when you were in the exact same position a year ago.
Is Indian subcontinent and middle east out of Asia? Then why only East-Asian people pops up on TV shows? I’m not saying they shouldn’t but why most shows only invites only east asian people?
ReplyTake a moment to reflect on American history. Everyone who is not a white male, to this day, has been fighting and dying for FAIR treatment.
You reside in a system that was designed for and by white men. In the structuring of this system, those in control established this country’s foundation to work against “others”. Some say history repeats itself, I say humans are unable to rise above their most trivial behaviors. Think about it, we justify taking the lives of people because they look or believe differently, yet we discovered a way to land Perseverance on Mars!
This will NEVER change until everyone without hate in their hearts, come together for the greater cause of moving humanity forward!
ReplyThose who disliked the video are racist
ReplyWhat group will you label next trevor?
ReplyTrevor, been a fan for a long time, I must say this presentation of Asian Americans is one of my favorites. Inclusivity should be the goal. Those who want to be exclusive can remain that way, them and their cohorts. Among the rest of us, we have enough talent, intellegence, wisdom and strength, to be all that the creator intended for us to be. We’re in this together!…….Keep up the great work Trevor.
ReplyTrevor is a great person with a great soul.
ReplyFAKE NEWS ALONG WITH CORRUPT INCOMPETENT DEMOCRATS CELEBRATIES HOLLYWOOD FEED EVIL HATE WITHIN USA CITIZENS TO DESTROYED. JUST HYPOCRISY FROM THESE CALLED CELEBRATIES. DISGRACE
ReplyWhich movie is the actor talking about
ReplyI wish people were of the mindset that if you didn’t want to be treated a certain way then treat people the way you wanna be treated. I think that is part of the problem with racism in general plus Anti Asian Racism. They don’t recognize us as people like them. They don’t realize that some of the same problems we can bond over like being parents to children or going through certain struggles in life. As far as the white people that are racists are concerned they see something different, something alien. And so they treat them with such disdain and this kind of thing divides us as people. Why can’t we coexist together?
ReplyLove Jimmy AuYeung. Only discovered him this past year from his special. Also, he appeared on Arsenio Hall’s talk show revival years ago!
ReplyAli Wong is so ultra cool
ReplyDude we Indians are Asians too!
Reply‘change of format
Replymakes me sad 🙁
Id take this more seriously if Trevor wasn’t a Cuomosexual sell out.
ReplyAAPI is so last week. We moved on to Boulder and the Floyd.
ReplyMY granddaughter LOVES ASIAN PEOPLE. In school that has always been her go to friends just naturally.
ReplyNice to see a bit of light in the midst of all the bloodshed. Always loved Trevor Noah but love him even more for using his platform in this way.
ReplyCan we get a list of the books and movies they are talking about?
ReplyThank you Trevor!
Replygotta drink a lot of dumbfuckjuice to get mad about people making food
ReplyThe model minority was a distraction.
ReplyBro, do a video about Myanmar again
ReplyThank you!
ReplyI am completely positive toward people of Asian descent. However, If one, as I do, looks different from natives (white natives), then DO NOT go there. Neither to visit nor to live in. I don’t look the part, so I stay well far away from America.
ReplyThose 49 thumbs down are those who would attack innocent Asian grannies on street
ReplyIt’s about time to rewatch Jackie Chans movies!
ReplyTrevor Noah, we came for your jokes, we stayed because you help amplify the voices of marginalized groups.
ReplyIf only the human species could get to the point where they fear treating people badly because they acknowledge the truth that they dont who they are. And most importantly they dont know their value to the universes. And their energetic value! And their consciousness value! And their karmic standing in the universes. Intention is everything…. forget burning sage to cast the demons out! Always be aware of the your INTENTION.
ReplySad times we are living in. But it’s just going to be a whole lot worth really fast. Mark my words.
ReplyAsian foods (Chinese, Japanese, Korean & Indian) were my first introduction into the people. All I knew was, those cooks slammed in the kitchen and I always left wanting more food/flavor. The languages were equally as poetic to my young ears. I never understood how you could hate a people, discard their culture, make fun of their traditions and talk about their food. Those are the very things that make a great man or a great woman befriend another great man or great woman. I stand with and support our Asian brothers and sisters.
P.S. At the marches, when we all become friends, could I have a bowl of ramen with a side of onigiri, a Hunan broccoli & garlic plate and jajangmyeon with a side of kimchi?
ReplyIm convinced that people pay their karmic depts unconsciously and also in pay in advance for their energetic hits. Appaling and disgusting Barbian comedian touched her belly! Im sure he paid karmically in advanced for that!
ReplyWhen you guys over there realize you a society of imigrants… and your country is called UNITED
ReplyIf we are to protect our Asian brothers and sisters in America we must examine the Negative Ego within us all. Everyone has an Ego and the Ego is what hurts others. The Ego has no empathy. The Ego is driven by triggered fears and unresolved trauma in the pain body. Dark entities on the Earth plane will manipulate human consciousness to exert their egoic designs over others. Blame is a huge part of the Ego. Blaming Asian Americans for the pandemic is unacceptable. It is not an option to blame others for our problems. It is an environmntal problem of human unwellness and is a shared problem within the species. The mind controlled, mentally programmed, ego manipulated, consciously enslaved humans carrying out acts of violence unconsciously against Asian Americans are not aware that this is a collective problem of human unwellness. No one is responsible to solve our problems for us. We all must actively engage in a pursuit of wellness with wellness as intention in everything we do from here on out. Placing blame is not an option.
ReplyTrevor is a true ally! Giving Asian artists and their stories the platform and spotlight they deserve.

I used to work in southern Illinois, one of my patients lightly slap my hand and told me she doesn’t want me start her IV, she demanded for a white nurse. I asked other nurses to do it but they all failed, she was a hard stick. I ended going back to her room and at that point she allowed me to do it. ONE stick and I got her vein, I told her ” remember an Asian nurse poked you once and be kind”.
ReplyWell I’ve never seen Asian , support black or Muslim, now the tables turn and they looking for support

ReplyJimmy Kimmel is not a funny guy. He is jokes bad and annoying to listen to. Will Ferrell, on the other hand, is both awesome and funny.
Yep, you see F(fake)ox News on TV in 2020 and can’t believe such propaganda still exist.

ReplyUgh It bothers me that most of these cut off before the guests actually introduce their work.
ReplyWhere is Andrew Yang.
ReplyMy man maan siiiiing (jimmy o yang). Underrated comedian, he needs more love. I also hope we can one day see Asian-American actors use their family/birth names as often as other American actors (though obviously most actors in general change their names no matter what) but some definitely do so to accommodate.
ReplyTrevor, dude, I liked you before but now I REALLY like you. Thank you for elevating Asian American voices. Nice work!
ReplyWhy would you not have even one Indian?
Reply20percent world population isn’t Asian or is it that China bias as usual?
Doesn’t matter religion or anything, even someone from Pakistan or other southAsian country would have been appropriate.
I really liked David Chang’s take on food and cultural appropriation. If he were to open a business that infringes on and starts to choke out the culture the food originates from through gentrification, he would doing some harm, so he doesn’t want to do something like that. Otherwise, people should feel free to explore culture through food, because food is the basis of culture, and can help understand culture better.
Replyhow on earth did Pacific Islanders get into this hate movement?
ReplyTrevor you should mention most violence on Asians is done by lacksB
ReplyGotta be creative to beat liberal censorship.
I’m tired of identity politics.
Replypursuing your dreams = become homeless is quite true. Not everyone can make it big. Which is why you have a million + or so people sitting there waiting for something significant to come up.
ReplyThanks Trevor! I’m Chinese-American & I appreciate you highlighting Asian American stories. I’m the grand daughter of a concubine from China, and my husband’s ancestors came on the Mayflower in 1620. This is the richness of America!
ReplyI guess she never saw Harold and Kumar
ReplyNothing will fundamentally change until most Americans let go of this belief that they’re better than everyone else. This will offend a lot of people but this is the root of the issue that most Americans shy away from admitting. No decent nation should ever look down upon others. It’s morally reprehensible and counter productive.
ReplyFrom a German perspective it’s just so odd to see how obsessed America is with race. Something like an editing of cutscenes of a show is themed around the race (whatever that is) of the guests will just not happen here. Absurd how deep the idea of race sunk in to your culture.
ReplyWho doesn’t America hates? Mexicans, Indians, Asians, Africans and others. America is just a hatred driven nation. It’s gonna get even worse. These people will ruin themselves.
ReplyFundraiser.I don’t know what they do with the money.
ReplyI can listen to David Chang speak all day..
ReplyWhen Trevor started hosting the Daily Show, I thought he was quite funny. But he rapidly became an annoying political tool, spending 99% of his on-air time bashing Trump and conservatives and calling the USA racist and full of bigots. Very dishonest from a guy who came from one of the most racist places on earth to do such a thing in one of the most non-racist places. His “jokes” are all very cringeworthy and it’s even amplified when he doesn’t have an audience pressured to laugh on command.
ReplyJohn Stewart on the other hand was hilarious AND he loved America. I’m far from being a leftist so I don’t agree with many of John’s views, but he was a genuine person and didn’t solely rely on politics to make people laugh. Now the Daily Show has been degraded into just another indoctrination tool of the woke…

ReplyArm yourself with guns and don’t assume that other races like you because they don’t due to the color of your skin.
ReplyI get why people want to promote the “American” culture as the era of post world war 2 celebration. The same people that had parents that fought against Japan and grew up with distrust toward Asians. However, in some cases following into the isolation of a “pure” race is what led to Japan’s attack in the first place. We cant let that happen again in any country, so we in America have to celebrate our diversity and our stories. Even if it makes the rest of us uncomfortable we should still listen to the stories of every background.
ReplyThe prejudice towards first generation migrants from the second generation Asians must also be addressed. It is more psychologically damaging than when someone else shows hatred or prejudice. I have experienced it first hand and it is really distressing.
ReplyThank you for bringing light to all these projects I totally forgot about them
ReplyThings have come to this because Trump became the president. Ever since then the Trump Republicans have been emboldened to show their racism very balantly. Not sure if things are reverable but importantly all must be done to prevent an intelligent version of Trump take co ntrol of the White House in the future. That will truly be the end of the country.
ReplyPpl commenting abt how this vid doesn’t encompass all Asians should understand the context in which it was made. I believe Trevor did this vid in response to the Atlanta shooting in which majority of the victims were Asians of various Sino descent, not Indians. He did a vid abt that on pretty much the same day.
ReplyIf American propaganda machine would shut up about their inferiority complex with China, the hate crime will disappear.
ReplyMy fellow Asians, we should do a Bernhard Goetz. Shoot first ask questions later. I bet we will get more support from maga crowd.

ReplyHi Trevor , My question is why USA who always claims themselves as representative of democracy is full of racist and discrimination. And China whom USA always condemned having no democracy and human rights ,but while I was there a few years ago, I talked to the different Chinese ETH minorities and they have never had such issues?
ReplyHi Trevor, if you were serious about racial harmony you wouldn’t instigate so much violence. You’re pathetic.
ReplyThank you Trevor Noah for your OPEN support.

ReplyCan’t stand that woman with glasses and she’s always pregnant, thinks incorporating that into her routine is funny. Found her boring. I like Ronny Chieng and the Korean-American comedian. It’s wonderful how Asians in the USA are finally, finally getting noticed and their collective voices heard in a way not happened before. I don’t live in the USA, thank the gods, but I went to uni there and saw how Asians are so marginalised (though not as much as the real Americans, the native First Nations people) and made to feel invisible. Kudos to Trevor Noah for having many talented Asian/Asian-Americans on his show.
ReplyThanks, Trevor. You are one of handful TV host discussing this critical topic

Replywho’s to be BLAMED? taiwan province of China small brain pro-independence spreading Chinese ethnics HATRED, now their dumb actions backfired.
ReplyISO 3166-2 International Organization for Standardization ISO code. Retrieved 2020-08-26. Short name TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA. taiwan is included as a subdivision of China because of its political status within the United Nations, as, even though it is de facto under the jurisdiction of the Republic of China instead of the People’s Republic of China, the United Nations does not recognize the Republic of China and considers taiwan as part of China. In ISO 3166-1, taiwan is listed as “Taiwan, Province of China”.
From Black-American rights just recently, to Asian-American rights now, makes me wonder who’s next?!
Perhaps those who’ve grown up thinking they are the ‘True Americans’ need to drop that fallacy. America takes us all, its a Gift that’s been watered down.. Sadly!!!
ReplyBlacks beating up Asians now part of American history, does that mean Asians get an Asian history month? Evolution huuu, similar to the Gaza situation?

ReplyWonderful video, thank you!
ReplyLove this! So many great interviews and Trevor, ever the prodigal interviewer, asking such great questions.
ReplyCan someone explain to me why you want to hate on Asians?
ReplyThank you, Jon Stewart, for finding Trever Noah. He is such a terrific addition to our entire country.
ReplyActors should stick with entertainment. I believe in equality, not cancel culture. How could ppl in a career that relies on freedom of speech support cancel culture. Especially when it is someone not consistently racist or offensive. Ppl fck up. PS. Asian Americans did not start a pandemic. They are here suffering right alongside us all, let them be. Right is right, wrong is wrong.. set politics aside.
Reply“You get all this attention cause your female and a minority” LOL… great combo, very funny.
ReplyStereotypes seem to be an American thing because you are all divided too much. Obviously, it exists elsewhere but America always has to focus on race.

ReplyThank you. This is wonderful.
ReplyUMMMM…..Trevor Noah is a corporate tool. I hate this youtube algorithm trying to feed me this bullsh*t. He came for Bernie like all the other corporate tools & he will come for Andrew Yang as well. He is NOT an ally. He is a neo-liberal shapeshifter just like Kamala Harris. GOODBYE.
ReplyThanks Trevor!
ReplyThe weak stick evocatively wish because chocolate methodically lick barring a troubled cello. elated, ordinary east
ReplyAll interviews of Asian people could fit in 24min video compilation
ReplyI already loved Trevor Noah before all this. He’s just being the awesome Trevor that he is.
ReplyCannot understand Asian Americans still voting Republicans, whose leaders spout racist, anti asians diatribe on a daily basis. Must enjoy being victims… sad.
ReplyI hope you know he’s looking for a joke!
ReplyThere’s a small minority of ignorant folks attacking Asians. Asians need to keep that in mind.
ReplyAli Wong did a bit about her mom not having any Black friends/not liking Black people…little jabs and hateful comments like those don’t foster allyship, honestly. Contrarily, I feel Dave Chapelle makes us laugh about our differences and we learn together…Her tiny anti-black joke really stuck out to me, because I’d been enjoying her show up until then. I’ll still jump in if I see an Asian grandma being attacked of course, but let me know that you’d do the same for me as well. Don’t say stuff like that that drives our communities further apart. Anyway, Eugene from the Try Guys does a great job of addressing Asian hate without glossing over any of the controversies that got us to this point in America.
ReplyTrevor is a nice guy for everyone
Replysorry, but which movie are they all talking about? Nobody mentioned the title of the book or the movie! Please enlighten me!!!
