Can You Name a Book?

Americans have been holed up at home for almost a year now and it made us wonder how much of that time they spent reading. So we went on the street and conducted an unscientific survey. We asked people passing by our studio to name a book, any book, and this is how that went.

Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra, I wish someone would have come up with a title like that. But no, of course not.

Excuse me… Comics are literature. That judgement and attitude is probably one of the many factors why most people don’t read. But that guy did seem like he was making it up off the top of his head, in your defense…

Name 5 books EVERYONE has at least heard of. I’ll start:
    1) The Bible
    2) The Quran
    3) Alice in Wonderland
    4) Harry Potter
    5) The Lord of the Rings

I read a lot of internet articles every day.

I spend most of my day studying.

Its what i love to do.

I found that most books are boring.

90 percent of most books are “filler” materials

    Filled with irrelevant information

Reading internet articles gives you relevant information and you waste much less time this way

This is a so embarrassing that we turned out this way. I have a passion for reading and I probably would take a second to think of the answer of the most recent book I read because I’m always reading at least 3 at a time. I would at least think the average person on the street would name their favorite book from childhood. This just breaks my heart. Please tell me these were the rare exceptions of people they asked?!?!?
