U2 fans, this is for you! Watch Stephen Colbert’s full episode-long interview with rock legend Bono, including many stories that didn’t make it to air. Hear Bono discuss the early days of U2, life in Ireland with his parents, his love for Elvis, his vision for America’s future, and many more tidbits from his new memoir, “Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story.” PLUS, for the first time anywhere, hear the major apologies Bono plans to offer in his next book! After the interview, watch Bono perform a U2 classic, “With or Without You,” in a way you’ve never heard it before!
Seriously, stop making your audience wear masks.
ReplyThere was someone who held a gun on me while I was watching Ertha Kitt on tv.
ReplySo grateful you posted this extended and excellent interview. Tried so hard to get tickets to see him at the Beacon Theater and it’s been a disappointment every day as ticket prices never came down. Got a glimpse now, thank you Stephen! How cool the two of you singing together!! Major moment I’m sure
Reply34:31 : the real fans will know this is a reference to Million Dollar Hotel (Wim Wenders flick that Bono co-wrote)
ReplyStephen is the ultimate host. I bet his dinner parties are the best.
ReplyAn Irish man teaching me an American about my countries past present and future and soul is an inspiration to me in these dark times- a brilliant interview!
ReplyWhat a great insight from Warren Buffet

ReplyFull interview in the background while working this afternoon. Lotta good info. Punk is going to have to save us.
ReplyIncredible interview
ReplyCool interview. I recall when they played the riverboat in New Orleans, only 1 album out, maybe testing a couple of songs soon to be on the 2nd album, I forget now. For the encore, they had to repeat a couple of songs already performed. One of my favorite concerts. My friend took some great photos. They were so young!
ReplyThat may be the best interview Stephen has done.
ReplyBono!!!!
