The main reason I find complication in his comments is because I am an addict (alcoholic) with a complicated family history. His tone either feels like he’s just interested in the money, or that maybe it’s all a fiction. I have no idea who this guy is, otherwise, but the lack of emotion in telling about such extreme things… makes me question the reality of his presentation.

First of thank you for sharing your story cause now im realizing why I turned to drugs in the first place. I went through the issue of not getting the love I wanted from both my parents and I turned to the people who I thought could give me what I was searching for. I think that we need to stop telling people that they must continue to love their parents and have some sort of relationship even if parents may do some very damaging or toxic things. I use to think that I needed to have my parents in my life despite the abuse they inflicted on me. Now im learning that I can love them by forming a healthy distance between each other. I don’t have to just take their abuse. Thank you for your words they validate a lot of the struggle of what being raised by challenging circumstances feels like.

I love that bobby also mentions and shouts out trevor in the book multiple times. They clearly have mutual respect. Love to see game recognize game.
