ReplyI think Conan can make any game funny, so how about the upcoming Ratched & Clank? Pokemon Snap probably also would’ve worked well, but you usually play games ahead of release, not after.
And pleeeaaaaase have Bill Hader back on the segment! The God of War episode was the best!

ReplyDude I would love to see a clueless gamer where Conan tries out retro consoles starting with the NES (since he already did the Atari 2600) and working his way to the current generation. I would enjoy hearing his different opinions, let’s get that going! Thanks for the laughs.

ReplyYeah some celebrities are funny to work with Conan but NOT as funny as Aaron with teaching Conan how to play and Conan just doing whatever skit he does LOL. I’m glad its back but hopefully it can be a weekly IF NOT monthly thing.
We need more clueless gamer please. Has been an awesome bit. My top three are the smash brothers one, God of war with bill hader and the final fantasy one with Elijah wood. Honorable mention: Grand theft auto one.

ReplyConan might enjoy something history based. Like Crusader Kings 3. You guys could do a collab with Girlfriend Reviews. They do a similar thing, but most of the time it is a review from the perspective of a person living with somebody playing the game.
ReplyThe CoD and Tomb Raider episodes were some of the funniest because of the repeated failures and the juxtaposition of the games’ gravity and Conan’s levity. When the game has to supply the comical elements itself, it undermines any comedic contribution Conan makes, and featuring a more experienced guest’s gameplay deprives us of those delightful ‘clueless’ moments.

ReplyClueless gamer with Conan and Bill Hader playing God of war is the pinnacle of the series. It is hilarious, shows off a cool game and you can tell they are both having fun. Rewatch that episode and take notes because its gold.

ReplyOld clueless gamer vibes met the actual vibe of real gamers. Idk what it was about the recent one, though happy to have it back, felt different and less natural. The best ones were actually games human leads.

ReplyYou need to do Final Fantasy VII Remake, or even just the DLC which is release on the 10th of June (wink wink). The FFVX one was probably the best Clueless Gamer IMO, although it’s possible Elijah Wood helped to really elevate that one.
The one’s with just Aaron and Conan are typically the best, but, there are some genuinely good ones with Celebs, like the God of War one with Bill Hader.

ReplyYou should do more Clueless Gamer. Why actually haven’t you done it during COVID? You could just invite a lot of people, streamers even. And just let them play games they never played before or something or just play with them in coop mode. Like you got a person famous or not that isnt good with games and you team them up with a streamer in coop mode and the goal is to mnake the other player laugh 😀

ReplyI’m from Brazil and we don’t have Conan on regular TV here, all I know from the show is from YouTube and Clueless Gamer was what actually brought me here. I was preparing a class about French Revolution and I was looking for some material about the Assassin’s Creed Unity that was to come out to use it in the class, so at some point I got to the Clueless Gamer where you play Unity and it was so fun, I loved it, I bindge watched everything of Clueless Gamer that is available here before get to watch the other stuff from Conan and it makes me really glad that it’s back

ReplyI have a few thoughts.
Reply1. You could include Sonja on one of the Clueless Gamer segments. You both are on the same wavelength when it comes to games, which could contrast well with Conan. I think it would give him a great jumping off point. You would be talking about how cool you think something about a game is with each other, and he would have a WTF look on his face, and then he would interrupt you two, and say something about how he doesn’t understand what you’re talking about, and it’s like you’re speaking a different language.
2. Have you heard of that Killer Queen game. It’s a new retro arcade game that’s played in teams. I think it’s teams of 5. It would be good once things are opened back up.
3. Have you considered pinball? Stern is always coming out with new games. You could play that Avengers: Infinity Quest game. That would give Conan a story line to not care about. You could explain how it’s based on the comics instead of the movie, and he could roll his eyes and say bleep blorp or whatever. Maybe you could contact that Jack Danger guy, if you don’t know much about pinball.
