President Biden addressed the nation Monday afternoon to outline new goals for America’s military mission in Afghanistan, as dramatic scenes of the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul prompted harsh criticism of the president’s withdrawal plan. #Colbert #Comedy #Monologue
The Democratic Party propaganda machine has failed
ReplyTrump started this retreat. The military wanted to pull out and voted mostly for trump. Republicans always leave it to the Democrats to pick up the crap and then forget immediately where it started from.
ReplyThe current president of Afghanistan is the co-founder of the Afghan Taliban, exactly how did anyone not think this would happen? Certainly not Trump we have his plan, withdraw suddenly months ago was his plan with no consideration at all of our allies that helped us there.
ReplyThe right thing feels so wrong. But we should not have been their in the first place. We. Were there to kill Osama Bin Ladin, and we killed him surreptitiously, as we should have done in the first place. If the Taliban d ecide to become
ReplyClearly the Afghan forces are weak, the government officials cowards. Americans lost soldiers, people son’s and daughter for a people who won’t fight for themselves. Like we’re you suppose to occupy Afghanistan for ever?
ReplyOh yeah let’s blame Trump.
ReplyToday try take over the world again
ReplyFighting for something you do not understand makes it so problematic – You can not fight a ghost – the Taliban are what they are men with beards – men with books they hold up standing in front of the press, men who grab and rape women, men who have no clue about science, men who deny climate change, men who lie about how dangerous a virus is, men who live a lie and are willing to die for a lie, they are actually no better than Republicans without beards.
ReplyI liked you before covid since you went down hill. 12 years military, it’s time to get out. Not one of you say exactly what Biden said today. The Afghanistans people don’t want to fight and we can’t continue to do it
ReplyThere has to be more than saying “I wish we could do more”. Every UN country should advocate for the expatriation of any and all willing Afghans. Especially women.
ReplyIt’s great to see a downfall of a superpower. I think people have forgotten the reason & only see the consequences.
A superpower which can’t even control a terrorist organization.
ReplyColbert is such a puppet. The issue isn’t that the decision to pull out was gonna happen anyways or that people supported it or that it was “the right thing to do”. The execution of this was disastrous at best – several Afghanis died in the military plane incident and many more will die due to bidens failure to evacuate everyone before pulling out. Guarantee you as the popular opinion swings against biden the puppet will actually have a critical thing to say
ReplyThe best foreign policy commentator on television. Full stop
ReplyNothing like the fall of Saigon, stop using right-wing rhetoric. US had no intelligence, no way of collecting it and only 2500 troops.
ReplyAbsolutely nothing like the fall of Saigon
Funny how Biden doesn’t care about abandoning Afghans telling them it’s not his problem but don’t tell him about open borders because he really cares about them immigrants coming over here. Talk about double standard.
ReplyThanks America for sending the new wave of refugees over the continent they are not on.
