ReplyCinco De Mayo is an obscure Mexican holiday only really celebrated in Puebla south of Mexico City. It is FAR more popular in the USA. Basically Mexican beer companies realized they could promote it in the USA as another reason to party and drink akin to St. Patrick’s Day or 4th of July and eventually it caught on. Most Mexican Americans don’t even celebrate it. That being said, given the state of the world right now, any reason to drink sounds good to me, Salud bitches!
