In fairness in the U.K. we do know about having to leave a ridiculous tip but no one cares here, waiters are paid by the place you ate at, if you give them a couple of extras pounds then good for you and lucky them. It’s mental that in the US you can get chased down the street because you didn’t give them enough extra money! It’s genuinely like a kid saying to an auntie ‘this isn’t enough birthday money, how dare you only give me 10’!! So ungrateful. And I know it’s like well you’re ungrateful for not giving them a proper tip, well as I said they’re paid by the restaurant? You don’t tip a retail assistant who’s been helpful do you

    Tipping sounds troublesome and unfair.

In Singapore, we usually have a flat rate. For most things, we have the Goods and Services Tax of 7% of the total bill, to pay for its existence.

For restaurants where waiters serve you, they generally charge a service charge of around 10%. So whether you hate your waiter or love him, you pay the same.

People in the U.K. don’t leave tips because they pay their workers reasonable and living wages ! What a hassle lmao

now that is forcing someone to pay you, not tipping them for what they do, they are not allowed to that here in indonesia, plus that is very rude to go to someone’s show just to ask them to give a tip
