His role as Martin Hannett was still my favourite performance of his.
A master chameleon portraying a legend.

Andy serkis has to be one of the most talented person. As if his physical acting wasn’t great enough he is such a master voice actor

Don’t forget Andy was also part of the Princess Bride Home Video project, where he was Count Rugen opposite Elijah Woods’ Prince Humperdinck.

Others have already said it, but I have to chime in, too: I can’t tell which I love more; Andy’s performance or Stephen’s face. My goodness, that is some genuine love and respect on display right there between those two. The expression on Andy’s face when Stephen stood up at the end to shake his hand, well that was a keeper, too. This is why I love The Late Show. It’s like this really sweet, classy, nerdy, weirdly- talented kid invites us to hang out with his equally sweet, classy, nerdy, weirdly-talented friends every night. It’s so much fun.

Judging from Stephen’s reaction, I’m not sure he enjoyed that. 🙂

Ukraine could’ve avoided the entire invasion had they hired Serkis to negotiate with the Russian government as Gollum.

I’m surprised Stephen stood up after that Gollum, he looks so excited that he would have to hide something.

I would like a 30 minute video (at least) of Stephen watching Andy re-enact his recording of The Hobbit and/or Lord of the Rings. Just a side-by-side act and reaction “best of”, just like this. Thank you.
