Amber Ruffin, Jenny Hagel and Ally Hord discuss Alabama’s newly passed abortion law while having their bodies controlled by other people.
I hope Alabama passes universal health care, including easy access to birth control for any girl or woman who wants it, provides paid family leave and affordable child care, makes sure that woman are paid the same as men for the same job, raises minimum wage, passes strong gun control so children are safe in the home and at school, that children are protected from domestic abuse, neglect and exploitation, and that family services are available to all families dealing with dysfunction, stress, poverty, and other challenges. Oh, Alabama isn’t going to do that? Then I guess it isn’t so “pro-life” after all….
Just to make clear, the governor of Alabama is a woman. There is no safety in the presumed logic of female unity.
Vote blue ????? elect progressive women Or Forward thinking women please vote people
It’s a female governor that signed it into law???
Basically, these “personhood ” laws, give zygotes–(it isn’t a fetus until 10 weeks in—and it has no HEARTBEAT—-because it HAS NO HEART YET!)—more status as a person under the law, than an adult woman. This has nothing to do with “protecting precious life”—(Alabama is a Death Penalty state–AWWWKWAAARD!!)—it’s about making women LESS THAN FULLY HUMAN UNDER THE LAW!!!
tge republican party has taken you americans back to the 1800s
Bernie 2020! Just look at his record toward reproductive and safety bills!
Alabama’s governor is a woman. She signed the bill into law. 🙁
i suggest mandatory VASECTOMIES for all teenagers, reversible when they want to produce a child.
It’s sad, all the men who will die trying to get passed woman. UNDERGROUND CLINICS . Have sex and get one !
As terrifying as this is, there are women who support this insane bill as well. Never forget that identity politics is not the answer. Research your candidates well.
The trouble is, all the hard core feminists are off fighting important battles like the male gaze, the depiction of women in video games, and protesting the Red Pill movie. Phew, thank goodness for priorities.
Decriminalize the uterus! It is the only organ with legislation around it, just give people a choice with their pregnancies!!!!!!!
