I hope Alabama passes universal health care, including easy access to birth control for any girl or woman who wants it, provides paid family leave and affordable child care, makes sure that woman are paid the same as men for the same job, raises minimum wage, passes strong gun control so children are safe in the home and at school, that children are protected from domestic abuse, neglect and exploitation, and that family services are available to all families dealing with dysfunction, stress, poverty, and other challenges. Oh, Alabama isn’t going to do that? Then I guess it isn’t so “pro-life” after all….

Just to make clear, the governor of Alabama is a woman. There is no safety in the presumed logic of female unity.

Basically, these “personhood ” laws, give zygotes–(it isn’t a fetus until 10 weeks in—and it has no HEARTBEAT—-because it HAS NO HEART YET!)—more status as a person under the law, than an adult woman. This has nothing to do with “protecting precious life”—(Alabama is a Death Penalty state–AWWWKWAAARD!!)—it’s about making women LESS THAN FULLY HUMAN UNDER THE LAW!!!

As terrifying as this is, there are women who support this insane bill as well. Never forget that identity politics is not the answer. Research your candidates well.

The trouble is, all the hard core feminists are off fighting important battles like the male gaze, the depiction of women in video games, and protesting the Red Pill movie. Phew, thank goodness for priorities.

Decriminalize the uterus! It is the only organ with legislation around it, just give people a choice with their pregnancies!!!!!!!
