Alfre Woodard is my queen! Does she not look like she’s been bathing in the fountain of youth her whole life? Bonus: she’s so down to Earth and such an amazing actress. Love her!!

Sounds like a very interesting movie. Although I will be surprised if the director, actors and screen writers can actually form a valid argument to form empathy for someone who is not forced to be a warden at a prison. Half the prisons are run by for profit corporations and there are inherent flaws in our Justice system, so it would seem like a difficult task to create empathy for someone who willingly pursued employment for a job that is known to have capital punishment as part of the job description.

My gosh, I never saw death wardens in that perspective before. Often we pity the prisoner and the warden is the villain. Incredible topic. Thanks Trevor

    she’s so wrong @03:48 xDDD
i *do* somedays wake up and decide that i’m gonna be an asshole that day! just because my life is bs and that bs is caused by others being assholes! ;(
for example, cops destroying the _expensive_ frontdoor instead of just ringing the bell, because they think i’d be “armed & dangerous” basing on a previous misunderstanding that led to 5 of those special forces bulls jumping around on _me, the guy that can’t even stir his food without giving up stiring/eating cuz of all the pain in the handwrists & shoulders._
and yea, i know, in ‘murica they’d just have shot me… but it’s still fcked up bs here in EU…

70% of the death row inmates are black,, could that ? maybe be the reason why they dont do away with the death penalty ?

I don’t mean this in a bad way, but when Alfred said she was in her sixth decade, I was stunned because I thought she would be older. Just how ageless she looks, and the length of time she’s been acting, it came as a surprise that she’s younger than my mother.

I like Trevor a lot, but he comes off to me sometimes as self righteous and I think he sometimes thinks he’s more empathetic than he actually is. He really thinks that most people could never see a corrections officer as a human being or someone worth caring about as much as we care about people convicted of aggravated murder? That just highlights what I see as his sometimes profound lack of awareness, insight and empathy. Again, I like him and think he’s a really good guy, but this sort of thing bothers me, I don’t know why so much, maybe it’s because I like him so much, it bothers me to see he’s so human.

Intrigued. I respect both actors for the diversity of characters they have each brought to life.

Pls do a show on what is happening in India with CAB and NRC. People are gonna become stateless and thrown in detention centres. It is terrifying here.
