And yet he wants to impart on the woman 100% of the responsibilities associated with the entire process, including medical expenses, the potential danger of complications associated with a pregnancy, rearing and basically raising a child they didn’t plan or maybe even want to birth. Most women who want abortions do so because they have no way to secure a safe and healthy life for a new human being in the making. Unlike these people want you to believe, having an abortion isn’t an easy way out. Unless you’re a psycho, it stays with you, forever, because it’s not a decision you take lightly.
Regardless, the _child_ , at the time abortion is still allowed, is just a lump of tissue, it doesn’t have free will, it doesn’t have autonomy or the ability to live outside a woman’s body. It is NOT a person. And yet, it’s taking over the rights and the life and potentially the freedom of a fully grown human being who is self-aware and _does_ have autonomy. The lump’s rights overturn the woman’s rights… why, again?
ReplyI think an option for pro-choice folks is to AVOID vacationing in the anti-abortion states. Do NOT buy products produced in those states. Make TikTok videos ridiculing anti-abortion lawmakers. Of course, the most sensible thing to do is study the issues & ACTUALLY VOTE
ReplyAbortions bans aren’t about abortion since they don’t reduce abortions rates and the right doesn’t support any policies that actually accomplish that, it’s about controlling women and punishing them for being emancipated.

ReplyThis reminds me of Michael Moore’s Where to Invade Next segment involving Tunisia. Amazingly abortion has been legal there since the 1970s. Women know when they can control their bodies they can achieve equal rights.
