Like all great writers, Pete is a great storyteller. And like all great storytellers, he values artistry and expression over accurate recollection 😉😛
ReplyPete is one of the greatest songwriter of all time absolutely legend ,and a pioneer of rock.
ReplyGood grief! Jimmy is so embarrassing to watch. I feel so bad for these legends that have to sit there and act like they are enjoying themselves. Bring back Craig Ferguson for Christ’s sake!
ReplyI saw the Who in 1973 in Denver. Half way thru, he ripped a finger nail off doing the windmill thing, blood running down his arm. Didn’t miss a beat, finished the concert still bleeding. Best concert I ever saw.
ReplyThank you jimmmy! What a delightful interview pete utterly entertaining love when he open up.
ReplyBless his bugga eart
ReplyI love him so much. I wish he were showing his beautiful blue eyes.
ReplyIncredible talent ❤
ReplyDid he bring his illegal porn stash with him to the show? Jeeeez jimmy!
ReplyHe almost mentioned Pretty Things by name when he was talking about the beginnings of Rock Opera, but changed his mind at the last second. S.F. Sorrow IYKYK.
ReplyTommy is an album you must listen to before you die
ReplyPete Townshend is just so interesting and full of endless stories to tell and has a brilliant sense of humor.
ReplyYes, I also know he is one of the greatest guitarists and songwriters of all time. 🎸
What a horrible appearance. Audience complete dead, no reaction, and has no idea who Pete is.
ReplyHOLY CRAP! 🚨New Mandela Effect 🚨 The Who’s – Pete Townsend.. Spelled like that! Died a year or so ago.. In my version of this universe. I’m so glad to see you alive again, Pete Towns’H’end! I know it wasn’t exactly you but we smoked together in Brixton UK in the early 90s. Something is really off these days – with this ‘fake’-ish universe. We may have been Menageried.. Sorry to say guys but this is what it kind of seems to be. Everything is sort of the same, like the things we would remember, or at least might miss if they weren’t there, have just been laid across the edges of our allowed enclosure. Try to feel out the edges, test the fences in your enclosure – or are you just secretly afraid to find out? 🎉
ReplyChild porn fan.
ReplyI saw the original run of Tommy, great musical (mom saw Pete at the Roundhouse in 67, discussed Meher Baba and Isadora Duncan with him and Roger at Berkeley in 70).Saw the Who at MSG and Nola Jazz Fest. Be great to see them one more time!
ReplyTheir album “Quadrophenia” was my all time favorite. 😁
ReplyJai Baba Pete!
ReplyDear Pete, First saw you at Shae Stadium 1983. I still have my shirt. One of the best moments of my life. I’ve such love for you, and I’m so grateful for The Who in my life, and your solo career. (Did you ever get my letter proposing marriage, back in ’81? Guess not, oh well!!) You look amazing! Thank you for a wonderful interview, and Bless you!
ReplyJimmy you should have asked if Pete ever visited Epstein Island. Would have been a great conversation starter
