ReplyBe glad I’m not in charge because I would be much harsher. I am so much smaller than that. I would make you all drink any beverages at home. Then I would encourage Slash to mix frozen beverages right there in front of you with an electric blender, while on the air. Then Conan would be recognized as the national treasure he is, instead of just the fall guy for so many Starbuck-slurping chumps!
ReplyI bet if Conan ever fired you, you could easily pull a George Costanza and walk back in the next day. Tell him you assumed it was just a bit, but that it was hilarious, and you’d be back in.
ReplyThe first thing I thought about was the interview with slash. Before Conan even said anything in that interview I thought “oh man if this was Howard Stern he’d definitely say something, I wonder if Conan will say something.”
To be fair though Conan made a very good excuse for the people that are only listening with audio and can’t see that Slash just picked up an iced coffee.
ReplyI think he was serious about this bothering him and tried to be funny about it like he always does to try to get the point across but he’s right. When the only way the audience can enjoy your show is through audio, and unnecessary sound is just noise pollution.
ReplyThis is exactly how you address a problem at work or in a group, with humor, explaining the issue, giving everybody time to talk and finding a solution that minimize the disruption of the workplace.
ReplyAnd if that doesn’t work take your skills somewhere else.

ReplyThis is my first time seeing Matt. He looks much different than I pictured. I always pictured a dude in his late 20s with short dark hair and glasses with big dark frames like the ones Conan has.
