ReplyEvery Martin Short appearance is a mini (or short) masterclass in comedy timing. The master of the insincere insult.
ReplyNo one is quicker than martin, pure brilliance
Replythe David Spade joke was cruel 😀
ReplyHe and Steve are the human equivalent of salt and pepper
ReplyMuch like Deliverance, it’s all fun and games until the banjos come out.
ReplyAbsolute class act
ReplyThat David Spade joke got me.
Martin Short will always be in the top 3 for me.
Jim Carrey, Martin Short, Jack Black.
ReplyHere’s the thing. No seriously, here’s the thing. Marty is a timeless genius. Beat that with a stick.
ReplyThere was a time I remember, as a child of the 90s, when Steve Martin was on the same level as Tom Hanks in terms of being a well-liked, bankable comedy headliner who was just sort of always present in pop culture. Every year he’d have a movie out, he’d be on the talk shows and whatnot, and basically he was just one of the biggest box office draws. And then I witnessed him step away from the fame to pursue his music career, and although I’m happy he is pursuing an early passion, I do have to say I really miss his presence. I think kids growing up now have no idea how big he was back then, or how comforting of a presence he was. It would be like if Tom Hanks had stopped making movies by the early 2000s…it’s just weird to see someone THAT big willingly retire and then be relatively forgotten as time goes on. I feel like a lot of his movies aren’t really talked about as much these days and that’s kind of sad/strange when so many (like Father of the Bride) were so iconic when I was a child. But mostly I just miss seeing the guy and hearing Martin Short talk about his comedic genius gives me all kinds of feels.
Also, “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” is the greatest comedy of all time.
ReplySteve Martin is to Martin Short what Robin Williams was to Billy Crystal.
ReplyIt’s so sad that Martin’s beloved wife Nancy isn’t here to enjoy her grandchildren.
ReplyI usually love Martin Short but these jokes here… it looks so very pre-written/pre-thought and somehow rehearsed.. its weird. sure almost every comedian does this but even with completely stupid 100yo jokes Norm Macdonalds delivery is more natural than Shorts in this clip.
ReplyThis guy wakes up and gets out of his house all guns blazing every single day. How does he do it !!
ReplyDamn, Martin is SHARP!
ReplyNo one cheered for selena gomez.
ReplyI love you Martin. Thank you for the laughs.
